Write Angles was founded in 1996 by JoAnne Grey. JoAnne began working as a technical writer in the late 1980's at Commodore Business Machines, where she realized that she had a passion for documentation. That passion has never dwindled.

In the beginning, Write Angles was little more than a loose coalition of technical writers: several Bay area technical writers worked together on large projects under the Write Angles umbrella, but still maintained essential independence on small ones.

Since 1996 the changes in the technology sector have required changes in Write Angles. We are a more cohesive group, with clear goals and commitments. We have grown together as writers, planners, programmers, and as people.

JoAnne is still the driving force behind Write Angles, but others have joined in, bringing different skills and personalities into the mix. Everyone associated with Write Angles has a genuine love for what we do, and a passion for learning and growing.

The truth is that we enjoy being a small firm, and we limit our growth so that we can give our clients the best we have to offer.
