What is Technical Writing?

Technical writing is writing designed to enhance or report a product or service. It can be used to teach customers how to use the product—or use it more efficiently, help third-party developers understand how to work with the product, record manufacturing processes, help a marketing department sell a product, and even get feedback from your clientele.

Technical writers are trained to design and create many types of documents, from the beginning specification to product development and support documents.
